Now in its fourteenth year, the Scottish Resources Conference and Exhibition is returning to Glasgow on 7th and 8th October at the Hilton Hotel. It will be delivered by CIWM and Zero Waste Scotland. For the second year in a row, Green Agenda will be the Headline Sponsor for the Scottish Resources Conference Awards Dinner.
The Scottish Resources Conference is the leading event for Scotland’s resource industry. For two days, numerous events will be taking place to keep businesses and organisations up to date on the critical issues and latest developments from the resource sector. The conference will conclude with the prestigious awards dinner. This year will mark the second time that Green Agenda have been headline sponsor of the awards dinner following last year’s success.
The Awards are a fantastic opportunity for businesses to be recognised for their involvement and innovation within resource management. Winners will receive both recognition and prestige from their colleagues and peers across the sector. As the headline awards sponsor, we are privileged to be associated with businesses which share our commitment to build a more sustainable solution.
The circular economy is changing the way in which we thing about waste management. It will be at the forefront of all debates and discussions taking place at the conference. However it also something that Green Agenda are firm believers in.
Green Agenda is committed to promoting a circular economy and we implement its principles throughout our business. We collect toner cartridges, ink cartridges, photocopiers, printers, laptops and mobile phones from across the UK and bring them back to our recycling centre at Bellshill. Here they are inspected and sorted to be either recycled or remanufactured. By implementing a zero to landfill policy, we are able to ensure resource efficiency and that nothing is wasted.
The Awards Dinner is dedicated to recognising the exceptional achievements of both individuals and organisations striving for a more sustainable society. The categories reflect this but also the widening sustainability agenda faced by all sectors. The public, private and community sector are all given the opportunity to gain national recognition for the advances they have played a significant role in. It will be a fantastic climax to the two day event.
As well as being Headline Sponsor for the Awards Dinner, Green Agenda will also be exhibiting at the Scottish Resource Conference both days at the conference. By visiting the Green Agenda stand, delegates will learn more about how Green Agenda is contributing to a circular economy as well as the need for organisations to change their attitudes when it comes to disposing of used toner cartridges.
